Professional Summary
Before joining EAS in 2010, Brock supervised and performed a number of large-scale complex projects for the Portland Public School District, including tracking, storing, and maintaining student work samples. He also coordinated and supervised the Art programs for three schools following the Oregon State Standards and the requirements of state-mandated highly qualified teachers assuring those quality guidelines. At EAS, Brock participates in field sampling and data collection campaigns, reviews chain of custody records, performs data QA reviews and uploads pertinent sample data. Brock has excellent interpersonal skills when supervising team members, coordinating with other agencies, and communicating with clients.

Relevant Work Experience
Brock was a member of the EAS team supporting NOAA’s effort to conduct field surveys and collect samples to assess the damage to natural resources resulting from the MC252 Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. For the NOAA/Natural Resource Damage Assessment, EAS scientists and specialists conducted sampling and sample receiving, accessioning, and shipping, and performed field data reviews and uploads. Brock participated in NOAA sampling cruises involving water and sediment characterizations and assisted with preparation of training protocols, developing procedures, and data management.
